A new look and feel is coming to the Aspire platform

You may have noticed that earlier this year Aspire Software updated its company logo. At that time, we also mentioned that our product team is working on designing a new user interface for our software. We’re making good progress on that effort and thought now is the right time to provide you with an update.

Let me start by explaining what we mean by the term “user interface.” In layman’s terms, it simply means we’re changing the look and style of the software. While this update will include a few new enhancements (we’ll discuss these in a future blog post), the core functionality of Aspire business management software will remain the same.

So, you may be asking, “What’s the big deal? Are you just changing colors and switching fonts?” Well, it’s more than that. Let me provide a comparison to explain.

Think about the last time you bought a car, truck, or SUV. You probably considered factors like engine size, fuel efficiency, cargo capacity, safety features, etc. But you also likely judged the car based on how it looked—its shape, its color, its overall style—as well as how comfortable and confident you felt driving it.

Software is no different. As with cars, you’ve seen the software you use in both your personal and work life evolve over time. Features and capabilities have advanced at a rapid pace, helping you become ever more productive. And, just like car styles change over time, as software developers and designers gain new insights into how users interact with their software, they incorporate new styles and designs to keep up with users’ expectations. Their goal? To make you feel comfortable and confident in using the software—just like the last new car you purchased.

Since it’s been a few years since we’ve updated Aspire’s user interface, we decided now is a good time to do so. We believe (as many of you do, too) that Aspire is the most advanced and comprehensive landscape business management system on the market. It’s time for its design to be on the cutting edge, too.

So, let’s move on and talk about how this new user interface will get introduced to the market.

As for timing, we’re planning this release for the first half of 2021. We don’t have an exact date yet because we want to make sure the application is fully tested before it’s generally available. We’re making great progress in its development and will provide a more specific release timeframe as we draw closer to 2021.

Due to the significance of this release, we’ve decided to give it a name: Evolution. We’re not changing the name of our software; it’s still called Aspire. But instead of simply calling it version 6.0 (version 5.8 was recently released), we’re going to call it the Evolution Release, since it marks the next stage in the advancement of our platform.

The Evolution Release will be rolled out on an account-by-account basis. If you’re an Aspire client, your Customer Success Manager will contact you to discuss the timing and specifics for your business. You’ll know well in advance when your account will transition to the new interface. While the new interface will be intuitive and easy to learn, we want to provide the attention and support you deserve in learning to navigate the platform’s new design elements.

Beyond improving the look and usability of the application, the new user interface will also provide another key benefit well into the future: quicker delivery of new features. The new, dynamic design will more easily accommodate the addition of enhancements, allowing our product team to spend more time developing innovative functionality that delivers the greatest value to your business.

In short, we’re excited and eager to get the Evolution Release into your hands once it’s primed and ready for use. We’ll keep you updated with our progress and will provide more specifics as we get closer to its release date. And, if you’ll permit me one more car analogy—you’re going to love how it drives.
