VP of Sales and Marketing

Primary Responsibilities:

We are looking for a Sales and Marketing VP / Director to lead the organization’s marketing and sales functions. As a successful hire, you will be responsible for working with the Product Management team and leading the Sales and Marketing organizations.  You will be managing the team of outside and inside sales reps to increase conversion rates.  You will manage the brand and marketing programs including analytics driven from Hubspot CRM activity.  You will report to our co-founder and Managing Partner to define a marketing calendar for sponsoring and supporting events of our partners as well as creating and managing our own events including conferences, trade shows, and other major events. The ideal candidate will be an experienced professional in the B2B SaaS ERP space with a proven ability and experience in scaling same.

  • Overseeing sales and marketing team – includes Marketing Manager (now) and specialist (TBD) as well as a 3-5 person sales team
  • Evaluating and executing our marketing plan and calendar
  • Planning, directing, and coordinating marketing efforts
  • Maintaining and managing the sales funnel
  • Working with the senior team on corporate strategy
  • Working with product development and customer success to improve user experience
  • Managing and maintaining our target market lists
  • Managing budgets, including expenditures, return-on-investment and profit-loss projections
  • Developing marketing performance goals and metrics
  • Compiling materials describing our offerings
  • Developing and managing advertising campaigns – messaging, content and writing ability is essential blogs, case studies and other downloadable content (white papers etc.)
  • Supporting internal sales BDR’s with marketing material and training
  • Coordinating marketing projects with partners (web interfaces, webinar and campaign offers)
  • Organizing company conferences, trade shows, and major events
  • Handling public relations and community outreach programs
  • Overseeing social media marketing strategy and content marketing


  • 7+ years’ experience as Marketing VP/ Director in a B2B company
  • Experience working as a SaaS is essential
  • Experience with HubSpot Marketing and CRM is essential
  • Excellent leadership and organization skills
  • Analytical and creative thinking
  • Excellent ideation, message creation and writing and editing skills are essential
  • Up to speed with current online marketing techniques and best practices
  • Thorough knowledge of web analytics (e.g. Google Analytics, WebTrends etc.) and Google Adwords
  • Customer-oriented approach
  • Bachelors/master’s in business administration, marketing, communications or related field

Comp will range from $150 - $190k for right person, bonuses for sales growth and stock options (potential for right candidate) Rapidly growing company with 5 year track record of + 60% year over year growth rate.
